Before announcing the results of the February 9 parliamentary elections, the CEC will receive confirmation from the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel and the Supreme Court if there are any complaints in these institutions that require their decision-making.

CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi said that the CEC is currently awaiting a decision from the Supreme Court regarding the appeal filed with this institution by a certified political entity. After following these legal steps, he said that the CEC can announce the final results of the February 9 elections.

"The CEC is awaiting a decision from the Supreme Court on an appeal. In order to arrive at the announcement of the final results of political entities and candidates for deputies, the Central Election Commission is following the steps foreseen by the new Law on General Elections and by-laws. Currently, the CEC is awaiting a decision from the Supreme Court regarding the appeal filed with this institution by a certified political entity. Before calling the meeting to announce the results, the CEC will receive confirmation from the ECAP and the Supreme Court whether there is any appeal in these institutions that requires their decision-making and whether the CEC can proceed with the announcement of the final results," said Elezi.

In the parliamentary elections on February 9, based on the preliminary results of the CEC, Vetëvendosje came first, PDK second, LDK third and AAK-Nimsa fourth. The Central Election Commission announced earlier that the recount of invalid ballots from postal voting has also been completed, following the request of Vetëvendosje.   (A2 Televizion)
