Kosovo continues its efforts to strengthen the capacities of the army. The government announced the granting of 100 hectares of land in Balltavë, Podujevo, to the Ministry of Defense.
"It will be used by the Kosovo Security Force to increase the operational capacities of the Kosovo Army. This property has been identified as socially owned by the Forestry Agency and the same is requested to be given to the Ministry of Defense for the purpose of achieving long-term investment objectives for special interests in infrastructure," said the Minister of Defense, Macedonia.
"We are increasing and strengthening our army. More dignity, conditions, budget and armament are being added to the Kosovo Security Force. On the birthday of our hero Zahir Pajaziti, we handed over the Dumoshi airport, while today, on the date of his fall, we will make a decision on the use of the space in Batllava. For the needs of the Ministry of Defense, we will use the properties of the Kosovo Forest Agency with an area of 100 hectares," declared Prime Minister Kurti.
Another decision taken by the Kosovo government concerns financial assistance to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
"The fierce conflict in Gaza has caused great losses and pain for the Palestinian people, who, in addition to this, after returning to their country are finding their homes, neighborhoods and cities destroyed. In order to survive and rebuild their country, they today need help from other countries. Therefore, the MFA has requested the allocation of half a million euros for the Palestinian population in Gaza. The government hopes and calls for this temporary ceasefire to be used to achieve a lasting and just peace between the two states," Kurti added.
The allocation of 500 thousand euros to the Central Election Commission for the implementation of the counting technology project in municipal counting centers and the Counting and Results Center was also confirmed. (A2 Televizion)
