The Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the Special Prosecutor's Office, have arrested 6 people under the charge of counterfeiting currency cards.
The arrested, 3 of them from North Macedonia, had chosen to forge 2 euro coins, since no one noticed them for their authenticity.
During the operation, they seized a large amount of fake 2-euro coins, which after counting turned out to be 85,000 euros.
"The Special Prosecutor's Office announces that in this operation six (6) suspects have been arrested in the act, for the criminal offense of "Forgery of money (production and circulation) from article 296 of the Code no. 08/L-074 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, as they were the distributors of counterfeit money, specifically two (2) €uro counterfeit coins", it is written in the notification of the Prosecutor's Office.
