On Armed Forces Day, President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti visited the "Adem Jashari" barracks. Both leaders agreed on the fact that the Kosovo army is a guarantee for the security of the region and appreciated the formation of cadets according to NATO standards.
"I am convinced, every soldier wears his uniform with pride, that's why he is ready to give his life for the country if necessary. Today, the KSF is a force trained according to the highest standards of NATO, a force that contributes not only to peace in the region, but also beyond. Serving alongside the American, British and other allied armies in different countries of the world, thus proving that the KSF is ready to join NATO", said Osmani.
While the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said: "It is a day of joy and we commemorate those who sacrificed, but at the same time we move towards the future with optimism, when we know how safe we are with our army. We are clear that the KSF is the heir of the KLA. Tomorrow is November 28, which we mark in memory of the trinity: of the red and black flag of Skanderbeg in Kruja, of Ismail Qemali in Vlora and of Adem Jashari in Prekaz. With glorious pride for our past and full of optimism, hope and responsibility, we move towards the future".
Osmani, who also has the role of Supreme Commander of the KSF, pledged that better conditions will be created for the country's soldiers, in order to increase their willingness to work.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of this day, the doors of the barracks of the Kosovo Security Force were opened for the citizens of the country. The children were among the happiest to see the Kosovo soldiers up close. (A2 Televizion)
