The international scientific symposium on Albanian-Turkish relations was held in Tirana for two consecutive days.
Academics, ambassadors and important personalities of Albania and Turkey participated in the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Historian Pëllumb Xhufi, during his speech, told about the relationship that Ismail Qemali insisted on establishing with Turkey, relations which were later broken by King Ahmet Zogu, and then during communism by Enver Hoxha.
In addition to economic exchanges, military and political cooperation, Albania and Turkey have a close humanitarian relationship with each other.
Turkey is seen by those present at the symposium as a help for the stability of the Western Balkans, in guaranteeing peace and economic development. (A2 Televizion)
