After the appointment of security, compulsory appearance and prohibition of going abroad by the Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime, for the former minister Ilir Beqaj, the latter has resigned from his post. The news was confirmed for A2 CNN by the former minister himself.
Beqaj is currently the head of the State Agency for Strategic Program and Coordination of Foreign Aid, under the Prime Minister.
When asked about the reason for leaving, he replied: "I was informed by SPAK about a security measure".
The former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, is accused of abuse of office and violation of equality in tenders regarding the concession for sterilization of medical equipment.
Based on the established security measure, Beqaj will have to appear before the judicial police of the National Bureau of Investigation, once a week, on Fridays, at 3:30 p.m.
In the announcement of GJKKO, it is written that the investigations continue in the direction of identifying the criminal responsibility of other persons who during this procedure have committed actions in violation of the law and the regular fulfillment of the duty. (A2 Televizion)
