The residents of Theth have blocked the bridge at the entrance to the village from the State Police, while the action to demolish unauthorized constructions continues on the ground.
Sources for A2 CNN indicate that Police forces cannot currently pass through to support IKMT during the action.
We recall that dozens of residents of the tourist village of Theth, who oppose the demolition of illegal constructions in the area, clashed with the police yesterday afternoon, after demanding an explanation for the IMT's action.
"We've been here for 300 years, maybe 400 years. As long as God has allowed, and there has been no conflict with anyone...", said one of them, writes A2 CNN.
"We are not people against the law, we want a man who leads the IMT, who is he? Please let us talk to him. That's all we ask. You are a police officer, we understand that you don't owe us any debt."
Police officers on the ground attempted to remove the protesting residents of Theth, as one of the officers was heard shouting loudly: "Outside our building, quickly."
There have also been moments of tension, bordering on physical clashes between some residents and police officers.
"You can't just grab it like you did, man, because we're on our property, man," a resident said to one of the police officers, who was trying to force him away from the building where the IMT's heavy vehicles were carrying out the demolition.
"I'm in my own place, you're on my back, man. Our back is here, our village, here," the citizen replied after the officer's next attempt to forcefully remove him. (A2 Televizion)
