A2 CNN learns that the body of the Archbishop of the Orthodox Church of Albania, Anastas Janullatos, will be laid to rest in our country, as this was his will, writes A2 CNN. Janullatos passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 95, while being treated in an Athens hospital.
Since 1992, he has lived in Albania, where he has led the Orthodox Church, and has always expressed the desire for his body to rest in our country.
The location where Archbishop Anastasios' body will be placed has not yet been determined, but one of the possibilities being discussed is the Monastery of Saint Vlash in Durrës. (A2 Televizion)
