Just a few minutes after Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj was arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation, Prime Minister Edi Rama canceled all meetings he was scheduled to hold during the day in Shkodra.
A2 CNN learns that the head of government has urgently left for Tirana following Veliaj's arrest.
Rama had planned a lunch with SP officials and mayors and would later hold a meeting with SP structures in Shkodra, but he canceled them and headed to the capital.
The head of government has canceled the inspection of the Shiroka-Zogaj road axis, lunch and meeting with structures in the northern region of the country.
