The General Director of the State Police, Director Madhor Ilir Proda, held a meeting with the new chiefs of police stations in the country.
Director Proda, initially, evaluated the process of selecting the chiefs of police stations and congratulated them for the task, which he described not as a privilege, but as an obligation and responsibility for each of them.
During the meeting, he forwarded to the heads of police stations a series of tasks and orders to further improve the image of the Police, to increase security parameters and to achieve higher results in the fight against crime.
"Your maximum commitment at the head of the structures you lead for the dynamic follow-up of citizens' concerns and problems, for respecting their fundamental freedoms and rights, for preventing and combating street crime that directly affects citizens, for preventing the cultivation of narcotic plants in open and closed premises and their distribution, gambling, environmental crimes, for school safety, road safety, for increasing the performance of police officers and for the ethics of communication with citizens is very essential. I am convinced that each of you will be up to the task you hold", said Proda.
At the end of the meeting, the General Director emphasized that we are facing an election process and that the State Police has already established internationally certified standards for a correct attitude. He asked the chiefs of police stations and their subordinates to implement the law and only the law, stressing: "We are police officers and we have a mission - to enforce the law." (A2 Televizion)
