Prime Minister Edi Rama from Zall Herri, alongside the Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, placed emphasis on investments for the Armed Forces, underlining the value of the soft loan program for housing military families.
So far, 179 servicemen have benefited from zero-interest loans to purchase homes, so Rama jokingly called on single servicemen to marry, preferably to military personnel, to benefit from the soft loan program.
"Singles are for the front, but also for loans. You definitely want to welcome them when they get married," said Rama.
Rama further stated that over the last decade, the number of recruitments in the Armed Forces has multiplied, and the number of students at the Defense Academy has increased fivefold.
Another achievement is the increase in the participation of girls in the ranks of the army, which has increased from 10% to over 20%.
Among future priorities, he mentioned strengthening cyber technology, improving services, and maintaining helicopters and military equipment.
"We will strengthen cyber technology, civil defense, helicopter service and maintenance departments, the corps. The number of girls has increased, doubling from 10 to over 20%. It is a source of pride for us. But also the level of services and their high number, which have also affected the lives of civilians. Likewise, the number of students at the academy has increased fivefold," added the head of government.
