Immigrants return to their homeland, 11 thousand citizens entered from Kapshtica

The border points in Kapshtica and Qafë Thane have had an increasing flow during these days.

According to official data, only during the last 24 hours, 11 thousand citizens have entered Albania from Greece through the border point of Kapshtica.

To cope with this influx, the border police have been working at full capacity, opening six counters, four of which are dedicated to entry. This measure has helped to avoid long queues and enabled a quick and efficient process for citizens crossing on both sides of the border.

Even at the border point of Qafë Thana, which connects the country with North Macedonia, high flows of entry and exit were recorded during the last two days. The border police worked with extended hours to ensure the progress in the timely processing of police procedures.

These measures come in the framework of preparations for the end-of-year holidays, when the flow of entry-exits is expected to increase even further. The border police have officially announced that they will continue their work with maximum commitment to cope with the situations and to ensure the ease of movement for all citizens.
