Among the axes that will be blocked due to the activity of the "Giro d'Italia 2025" in our country are "Karine - Peqin - Bradashesh - Shijon - Gracen". The State Police has announced that traffic will not be allowed on these axes during the hours of 11:30 - 15:30.
"In the framework of the international cycling competition "Giro d'Italia 2025", which will take place on May 9, 2025, in Elbasan, the Elbasan Local Police Directorate has undertaken a series of measures to guarantee public order and security, as well as the smooth running of this sporting activity. The measures that will be implemented in the territory of the Elbasan district are:
Temporary traffic blockage on the road axis:
"Karine - Peqin - Bradashesh - Shijon - Gracen", during the hours of 11:30 - 15:30.
Traffic stop and exit ban on this axis from secondary roads along the race segment.
"Not allowing the movement of trucks coming from Qafë Thana, during the activity hours."
Police advise citizens to follow alternative routes and ask for their understanding.
"Alternative route to the south: For vehicles traveling from Qafë Thana, Librazhdi and Elbasan, in the south direction, they are directed to use the alternative road axis "Elbasan-Krqëzim i Cërrikut-Cërrik-Belsh-Kuçovë". These measures aim to guarantee road safety, the smooth running of the race and minimize the impact on the movement of citizens and vehicles. The Elbasan Local Police Directorate thanks drivers and citizens for their understanding during this cycling activity, and appeals and requests the understanding of citizens to avoid traffic on the road axes that are part of the itinerary, during the activity's development schedules and to use alternative routes".
