Two classrooms with advanced technology have been opened at the QSUT for children admitted to the Pediatric Hospital. According to the Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu, children will have the opportunity to attend classes through technology and educational activities, including learning according to the school curriculum and recreational activities such as reading, music and art. Four teachers from the education system and one permanent primary school teacher have been placed in them.
"We have already opened two classrooms thanks to the valuable assistance of the SASA Setton Foundation. A classroom for learning through technology and for learning according to the school curriculum for children who are hospitalized at the Pediatric Hospital, and an art classroom. We have placed four teachers from the education system and one teacher who is permanent in pediatrics, a primary school teacher. Four teachers who will be part of the 'school' already built at the Pediatric Hospital, both classrooms are functional, will offer learning, but also entertainment for the children who are treated at this hospital", said Manastirliu.
This project is the result of a tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, and the SASA Setton Foundation, and aims to offer children the opportunity to continue learning and having fun during their stay in hospital.
For children who are unable to move from their beds, tablets, smartphones and teaching aids specially designed for them will be provided. In addition to lessons, activities related to reading, photography, music, etc. will be offered.
