The Vatican Embassy in Albania opened its doors today to receive condolences for the passing of the Holy Father. Anyone can leave a note in a book of condolences until tomorrow afternoon.
The tributes to Pope Francis were first opened by the head of the Catholic Church, Archbishop Arjan Dodaj. In his message of condolence, the senior cleric thanked the Holy Father for his love for Albania and Albanians.
"Pray for us from heaven and bless us from above," writes His Eminence Archbishop Arjan Dodaj, while closing the message with a prayer that Pope Francis may rest in the Peace of the Risen Christ and in the arms of the Virgin Mary.
Tributes were also paid by other leaders of religious communities in our country, Bujar Spahiu of the Muslims, Baba Mondi of the Bektashis, and Joan Pelushi of the Orthodox.
