The new energy price for household subscribers comes into effect today, how much will consumers pay?

Starting today, the new electricity price will be applied, which will be 1 lek per kWh lower than before.

But the new electricity price of 8.5 lek per kWh will only apply to those who consume up to 700 kWh/month, while for families who consume over 700 kWh/month the price remains 9.5 lek per kWh.

This decision was made in January by the Energy Regulatory Authority, while Prime Minister Edi Rama declared after the decision to reduce the price for household subscribers that this relief was not taken for electoral purposes, but due to the increase in the amount of energy production in the country.

Meanwhile, today, regarding this development, the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has also reacted through a post on Facebook.

"With the new energy price, 10.5% lower, which begins to be applied today, February 1, 2025, ✅ we wish you a good month!" Balluku wrote in her post. (A2 Televizion)
