The Polena Carnival group, one of the most popular groups of its kind in the country, have brought vibrancy and tradition back to the streets and alleys of their popular village. This group, which has represented Albania in national and international festivals, has today amazed the residents with its unique costumes and festive performances.
Illia Kostandini, a connoisseur of local tradition, says that the Polena Carnival has an ancient history, dating back over 300 years, writes A2.
"Our carnivals are a special heritage that passes from generation to generation. They represent not only art, but also the spirit of our people," says Kostandini.
