While Elbasan suffers for the fourth day under the rule of toxic smoke as a result of the uncontrolled burning of the urban waste landfill near the incinerator that has not been working for months, a group of citizens, some of whom have come from Tirana, have tried to raise awareness of both the citizens of Elbasan and the prosecutor's office of this district for the failure to find the culprits and their impunity in previous cases that have occurred at that landfill.
The fact is that the fire at the waste landfill is a recurring event and the most visible consequence is only the smoke that burdens the lives of the residents of Elbasan and its surroundings.
The participants called on the citizens of Elbasan to react to this situation, while also listing the reasons why, according to them, there has been no reaction.
Despite the efforts of hundreds of forces engaged in extinguishing the fire, toxic smoke has covered almost the entire Elbasan area even on Friday. (A2 Televizion)
