Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on Facebook, shared the speech of the director of IKMT, Dallëndyshe Bici, from the premises of a building under construction in the city of Vlora, which the head of government had previously announced would be confiscated.
Rama's warning is confirmed by Bici, who said that the palace in question will be transferred to the state to be used in the public interest. The IKMT director also underlined that other buildings built in violation of the law throughout the country will have a similar fate.
"Following the inspections, as has happened with other objects before, this object will be confiscated and will be transferred to the state for public interest. I am here to inform you that the same fate will befall all those objects that result in a building permit, but that have been built in brutal violation of the building permit, violating the public interest and common property. IKMT will continue its work throughout the territory of Albania to inspect objects with or without a building permit, with the aim of guaranteeing respect for the law, community safety and public interest", says Bici.
