Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, received today in his office Ambassador Lamberto Zannier, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Observer Mission for the May 11 general parliamentary elections to be held in Albania.
During this meeting, Minister Hasani underlined that "Albania strongly appreciates the assistance of the OSCE/ODIHR during the electoral processes and we remain determined to implement the recommendations, while simultaneously utilizing its expertise and assistance . "
Among other things, the Foreign Minister also described our country's commitment to organizing free, fair and transparent elections, in full compliance with OSCE/ODIHR standards.
" Albania remains a steadfast supporter of the ODIHR mandate and the role it plays in protecting fundamental freedoms ," Hasani underlined. (A2 Televizion)
