Actor Arben Derhemi has reacted to the negative comments that have flooded in towards Robert Ndrenika, who a few days ago came to the defense of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, after the latter ended up in prison.
Derhemi says that such a great artist cannot be crucified for a statement, as Robert Ndrenika has no financial interest in supporting Veliaj.

Engaging in art, culture, science, or knowledge was sacrilege in the distant Middle Ages and in the China of the Cultural Revolution.
Being an artist, a singer, a writer, in the Republic of Albanian Portals is almost the same thing. It is not worth having made an entire people happy, while also giving important parts of your fragile soul as an artist. Having given valuable parts of your life to make a nation happy with many troubles and poverty.

How can we Albanians be so bloody-minded that we find the strength to crucify in a medieval way such a great artist, who gave you so much joy in your lives. And why?! Because he thinks in his own way. Especially since now, there is no monetary interest or political need to support someone...
You portal-crazy bastards! You wretched people with a journalism license! Fines without dignity! Small, narrow-minded and petty people, who poison every day by cooking dog food, for all the spineless hyenas who masturbate by licking the pussies that you expel from your soul. That the great God, in addition to physical ugliness, ironically, also clothed you with spiritual ugliness.
Enough of lynching the names of artists, singers, writers, scholars, who have fed you with art and culture throughout your life. And they have not consumed anything illegal or dirty, to be mentioned on your disgusting and perverse portals, except that they have labored to bring you a little art, and to soften your hopeless and already poisoned soul, at least a little.
Regardless of his personal opinions, beliefs or thoughts, Robert Ndrenika has been and will remain a unique and unrepeatable icon of Albanian art. A value of this nation, with an extraordinary contribution like few others.
