The time for issuing an ID Card is reduced from 14 days to just 3 days, the Ministry of Interior announced. The innovation was launched by IdentiTek, the state-owned biometric document production company, bringing a new service to Albanian citizens, namely rapid identity, writes A2 CNN.
"Thanks to this service, through a payment of 3 thousand lek, every citizen can be provided with an electronic ID card within 3 days. The service is designed to facilitate and accelerate the application process, helping citizens who urgently need their identification document. The accelerated procedure is particularly useful for immigrants who stay in Albania for a few days, as well as for all those who need to quickly obtain their identity card, whether for personal, professional or administrative reasons," the Ministry said.
How is the application made?
•Buy the coupon (with expedited procedure);
•Take with you the old document or the self-declaration of loss/theft from e-Albania;
•Apply at one of IdentiTek's offices;
•Get the new card at the same place where you applied.
This service is accessible to all Albanian citizens, including:
•Those who are provided with an electronic ID card for the first time;
•Those who renew an expired document;
•Those who require replacement due to expiration, damage or loss. (A2 Televizion)
