The port authority of Durrës has announced that it has been temporarily suspended for tonight the sailing of ferries from the Port of Durrës to the Port of Bari (Italy) and vice versa. The decision was made due to bad weather, with strong wind.
Meanwhile, the Durrës-Ancona ferry and vice versa will continue sailing normally according to the forecast.
On the other hand, even small boats have not been allowed to go out to sea.
"It has been forbidden to give permission - departure during the dates 17-18-19.11.2023 starting at 12:00 for all small vessels, fishing boats and they have been notified to take measures for their security.
Small watercraft and fishing vessel operators are advised to take into account the predicted deteriorating conditions and take measures for their insurance. The drivers of fishing vessels and small vessels have been notified of the worsening situation and of taking measures to secure the vessels in the berthed places and prevent events and situations during the dates 17-18-19.11.2023
International sea transport vessels for passengers and vehicles will NOT continue to operate until the hydrometeorological conditions improve.
