The Council of Ministers has declared Saturday, April 26, 2025, as a national day of mourning, in honor and gratitude for the Holy Father, Pope Francis, who passed away after an illness.
The decision was taken in support of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania and the legislation in force, upon the proposal of the Prime Minister.
During this day of mourning, the national flag will be flown at half-mast in all state and public institutions, while all radio and television stations, public and private, have been invited to broadcast funeral music as a sign of respect. (A2 Televizion)
