Due to the deteriorating marine hydrometeorological conditions that are predicted for the next day, the Captaincy of Vlora has announced the suspension of sea navigation for small boats and fishing tools.
Meanwhile, the Captaincy of the Port of Durrës informs that as a result of the worsening weather, there will be no sailing of ferries to Bari, nor vice versa.
NOTICE:
Based on the forecast for the worsened hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the bay of Vlora, during 12.01.2025 starting from 22:00 on 11.01.2025 the hydrometeorological conditions will be in the SOUTH-SOUTH-WEST direction with a force of up to 6-7bft with wind speed up to 15-20m/s and wave height from 1.50 to 2.00 meters. In order to prevent any unexpected situation due to atmospheric conditions, we ask for the cooperation of all entities that exercise activity in the maritime field, to take all the necessary measures to secure the tools in the port and increase the readiness of the crew in the tools floating.
1. LAUNCHING EQUIPMENT OF SMALL BOAT AND FISHING VEHICLES THAT OPERATE IN THE OPEN SEA IS PROHIBITED STARTING FROM 22:00 ON 11.01.2024.
2. ALL DRIVERS OF SMALL BOATS AND FISHING VESSELS OPERATING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE GULF OF VLORAS TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE HYDROMETOLOGICAL CONDITIONS AND TAKE MEASURES FOR THEIR SECURITY.
3. International maritime transport ships will continue to operate normally according to their respective destinations.
