Taxes increase fivefold, the Russian market in Shkodra is "salty" for

“From 1,500 lek per month, they now have to pay 7,500 lek per month.” The fivefold increase in the monthly fee for traders at the Rus market who sell fruits and vegetables in Shkodra has led them to boycott sales and demand a reduction in these fees, which are unaffordable to them.

Unlike other days, fruit and vegetable sellers at the Rus market in Shkodra have started the working day with a boycott. The reason is the new monthly tariffs they have to pay, which have increased by more than five times compared to the tariffs they have paid so far.

This increase came after the reconstruction of the market and the transfer of its administration from the municipality to a private firm, which has increased the monthly fees for each trader fivefold.

Regarding this issue, a representative of traders was received in a meeting by the Deputy Mayor of Shkodra, Rudin Beka, and they expect a final response regarding this concern they have by Monday. (A2 Televizion)
