A rally in support of the Special Prosecution Office was held in front of the doors of SPAK, three days after the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, who is accused of corruption and money laundering.
Dozens of citizens, along with the leaders of the new opposition parties, "Shqipëria Bëhet" and "Nisma Thurje", hold banners reading "Thank you SPAK".
The head of "Nisma Thurje", Endri Shabani, spoke to the media, saying that the alliance of scoundrels, which according to him includes Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta and Edi Rama, was completed with the arrest of Veliaj and together they seek to attack SPAK.
"They want to keep this country in transition, for 34 years this people have been robbed, ridiculed and dragged along and not a single thorn in their side has stepped on them. We want this to end and the alliance of filth wants this to continue. We are undoubtedly together against them and we are undoubtedly together with Albania Becomes, with every young person, with every honest citizen who wants impunity in this country to end", said Shabani.
Asked by journalists why they did not hold rallies in support of SPAK after protests against this institution by Berisha's supporters and the Freedom Party, Shabani said: "Because today the alliance of filth was completed . "
"There was Berisha with Meta, now Rama has also joined. And they have come out in the open. There are two fronts. Because until now Rama was attacking under the rug, using investigative commissions to attack SPAK. Now it is clear," Shabani explained further.
The leader of "Nisma Thurje" also demanded the arrest of Prime Minister Edi Rama, as according to him he has usurped the Municipality of Tirana and in the last 48 hours has intimidated witnesses in the "Veliaj" case and has put pressure on justice institutions.
"There are two choices. Those who want this country to have no justice. That only mothers who connect electricity irregularly, fathers who repair the roof, go to prison here, but those who have stolen from us should never go to prison. Edi Rama came out openly attacking SPAK. Rama is a serving prime minister who should be arrested because in these 48 hours he has been destroying evidence, intimidating witnesses, he has gone from being a prime minister who is a central government, he has gone to the office of the Municipality, usurping a local government. So he has gone off the rails. That is why this is the comment to support SPAK and I want to tell you: 'You are never alone'. Of course, you are facing criminals and thieves, but you have the Albanian people on your side", said Shabani. (A2 Televizion)
