The Vlora Port Captaincy has decided to suspend sea navigation for small vessels and fishing vessels from 02:00 this Tuesday morning until 08:00 on Wednesday morning. The reason for this is the strong coastal wind, which reaches up to 20 meters per second in the open sea, writes A2 CNN.
As a result, in the open sea, waves reach up to 2.5 meters, making it impossible for fishing vessels and small boats to sail. The wind will blow from the South-South East, causing sea forces in the open sea up to 8 force.
According to the port authority, the ferries on the Brindisi line will continue their normal sailing. The hydrometeorological situation is expected to improve starting from March 12 after 08:00 in the morning, when it is thought that fishing and floating vessels will be allowed to go out to sea.
