Proda in the Czech Republic: Cooperation in the fight against crime and corruption, support in integration projects

The Czech Police will support the Albanian Police in the drafting and presentation of various projects, which help in the journey towards the European Union. The promise was given by the Vice President of the Czech Police, Major General Tomas Kubik, during the visit of the head of the Albanian Police, Ilir Proda, and the director of the Criminal Police, Neritan Nallbati, during their official visit to Prague.

"Congratulations for the commitment, dedication and results achieved in the fight against crime. The Czech Police offers to be a supporter and mentor to the Albanian Police, for the design and presentation of various projects, which help in the journey towards the European Union", said Kubik.

According to the Police announcement, Proda and Kubik agreed to deepen cooperation, not only for the exchange of information, logistical support for the Traffic Police or for joint patrols during the summer season, but also in other areas.

"The excellent cooperation between the two criminal police forces, and that in the field of security, should be extended to all other areas, in the interest of the fight against organized crime, as well as increasing security parameters, since in both the Czech Republic and Albania there is an increased presence of citizens of both countries, as visitors, tourists, but also for business purposes. With this increased movement, there is no doubt that the criminal element is also moving," Kubik emphasized.

Meanwhile, Nallbati and Kubik assured Proda that the two Criminal Police will cooperate in coordination with law enforcement agencies Interpol, Europol and others, to investigate and crack down on organized crime, corruption, money laundering, terrorism and illegal immigration.

Proda emphasized that the State Police has a clear path, "a path that has only one direction, close, professional, equal and trust-based cooperation, with partners and law enforcement agencies at home and abroad, to fight crime that is global and that definitely requires a union of forces, values ​​and ideas."
