Government announces a deep reform in preschool education!

After the violence of the 3-year-old, the Ministry of Education has announced a deep reform in preschool education, which includes kindergartens and nurseries. Minister Ogerta Manastirliu presented in detail some of the essential changes that have been foreseen, starting from the amendment of the law, to follow the rules of opening a kindergarten or a nursery to the qualification of educators.

Stopping at the last point, Manastirliu said that in addition to the "teacher for Albania" portal, educators will go through a complete qualification verification system, while adding that structures will also be set up for their training.

"Reform for preschool education, the care of children is paramount and the need to have not only a much deeper analysis, but also to address all the problems, we are evaluating to see if we need to have a law of especially for pre-school education, including nurseries, regarding the standards, we need to strengthen the standards, monitoring and reorganization of the Pre-University Education structure itself, and training inspectors. Those who take care of the children are the educators, therefore the whole aspect for educators and teachers, we need a plan that is oriented towards increasing the standard and quality, in our evaluations and why we had the standardization of the portal, paying more attention to the training of theirs, and educators to enter a comprehensive system of verification of their qualification. Not only assessment, but also training, will affect all links of preschool education, from legislation, from the way a kindergarten or a nursery is opened, or even in investments in preschool infrastructure", said Manastirliu.

After this case of violence, intensive checks were carried out in 90 kindergartens and nurseries, of which 10 were found to be without a license. Of these 10 kindergartens, 8 of them had not applied at all, 2 of them had been refused a permit, while 13 others were operating as daycare centers, in violation of the law. (A2 Televizion)
