Violence against the 3-year-old, 23 other kindergartens without license are
Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu

After the case of violence against the 3-year-old girl, intensive checks were carried out in 90 kindergartens and nurseries in the country, of which 23 of them were found to be without a license. Of these 23 kindergartens, 8 of them had not applied at all, 2 of them had been refused a permit, while 13 others were operating as daycare centers, in violation of the law.

From the controls of these days, since the moment of the establishment of the Task Force groups, 90 non-public kindergartens or with preschool education activities for children aged 3-6 have been inspected. It has been established that: 67 non-public kindergartens operate in accordance with the legislation in force and fulfill the criteria of legality. 8 non-public entities (gardens) have not applied to MAS for the relevant licensing and 2 entities have been denied licensing, for which DPAP inspectors are conducting the necessary verifications and in the end, relevant measures will be taken according to the legislation in force. 13 non-public entities perform the activity, with the status of day care or community centers for children. So these structures provide services for children 3-6 years old based on a different regulatory framework and are monitored by other state structures according to the legislation in force. Therefore, they are not equipped with a kindergarten license, as they are active in another field of legislation", said Manastirliu.

For this reason, Minister Ogerta Manastirliu ordered them to be equipped with a license, otherwise measures will be taken.

The punishment will be a fine of 500-1 million ALL until they are closed.

"In case of non-completion of the documentation and equipment with the relevant license, the administrative measures provided for by the law will be followed, a fine in the amount of 500 thousand to 1 million new lek and immediate cessation of the activity. In parallel, practices will refer to the competent bodies based on the legislation in force". concluded the minister. (A2 Televizion)
