The Albanian government has approved the decision that paves the way for the return to active service of military personnel in reserve. K
The decision, proposed by the Ministry of Defense and approved by the Council of Ministers, aims to meet the needs of the Armed Forces with qualified personnel and strengthen the country's defense capacities, writes A2.
According to this decision, military personnel who have previously been in service, officers, non-commissioned officers or soldiers and sailors, will have the opportunity to return to active service when military structures need their specialty or experience. The decision tasks the Ministry of Defense to publish calls for open positions on its official website, while the application will be carried out online through the e-Albania portal.
After submitting the documents, candidates will be subject to evaluation by relevant committees and security checks.
Selected candidates will be titled as active military personnel, to be subsequently appointed to the relevant position. They will maintain the rank they had at the time of leaving the reserve and will not be entitled to advancement during the contract period.
The decision also provides that in cases of partial or general mobilization, return to service can be made without application, with direct notification from military institutions. This decision constitutes an important step to guarantee readiness in the ranks of the Albanian Armed Forces according to the best models of NATO countries and is an opportunity for many military personnel to once again contribute to the service of the country.
