The founder of "Fundjavë Ndryshe", Arbër Hajdari, dedicated to humanitarianism and helping the most disadvantaged, has been honored with the title of "Honorary Citizen" in North Macedonia.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Greater Dibra, Hekuran Duka, in his speech at the ceremony of awarding this special title to Arbër Hajdari, stated that this appreciation comes due to his contribution to helping thousands of Albanian families.
"Dibra has one more reason to celebrate, not only did the Murriz tunnel open, but today we honor a man who has made a big difference for people in need. Arbër Hajdari is not just a name but a symbol of solidarity, help and belief that together we can do more for each other," said Hekuran Duka, mayor of the Municipality of Dibra e Madhe.
Arbër Hajdari himself called this title an extraordinary honor. According to him, this recognition is not only for him, but for all those who believe in the power of goodness and solidarity.
"This award today does not belong only to me, but also to those honest people who have supported us every step of our journey. Through our work with Fundjavë Ndryshe, I have had the privilege of seeing with my own eyes the extraordinary power of solidarity. When people come together: miracles happen!", said Hajdari.
Also present at this ceremony were prominent figures from Albanian and North Macedonian politics, who expressed gratitude for Hajdari.
"Heroes are those who fall for their homeland. Today you are the hero of peace, the hero of humanism because that is how Mother Teresa started it and today she is holy. You do great things without personal interest, but in helping the most vulnerable people, who are the most sensitive category of society," said Ali Ahmeti, Chairman, DUI.
"A medallion of Albanian youth receives this title at a very young age because volunteerism and humanism as universal human values make Arbër Hajdari an example of Albanian youth," said Minister Ulsi Manja.
At the end of the ceremony, Arbër Hajdari affirmed that this award inspires him to continue his humanitarian mission and added that "this moment proves that good always wins."
