On the day when Prime Minister Edi Rama was critical of SPAK, "pulling its ear" for the new Task Force being established to investigate electoral crimes, the Special Prosecution Office has published the "Strategy for the Investigation and Prevention of Electoral Crime", for the process that will be sealed on May 11.
SPAK underlines that there will be on-site verification of indications or facts regarding the commission of criminal offenses in the context of the 2025 Assembly elections.
The Task Force will also verify reports that raise reasonable suspicions about the misuse of the budget and public investments during the election period by specific entities.
SPAK will also focus on the media and social networks, which will be monitored for possible indications of criminal offenses committed in the context of the elections.
The entire process, according to SPAK, will be carried out thanks to inter-institutional cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office, the Central Election Commission, the State Police, international organizations and civil society organizations that monitor electoral processes. (A2 Televizion)
