The first ski resort in Albania will soon be built in Korça. Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the news in a video message on Facebook, according to which this will affect the economy and tourism package of this region, as well as put Korça on the European ski map.
"Now it is the turn of the first ski tourist center in Albania, a project that will put Korça on the European map of ski tourism and will ignite a new engine with many horsepower in the economy of this region where the reconnected road connections with Kolonjë and Përmet have brought added value to the beautiful tourist package of this area. Better and better and the best is all ahead for Korça and all of Albania", says Rama.
According to him, the number of tourists and guesthouses during this decade has increased significantly compared to the previous decade.
"Korça, Korça. This winter like no other, 160 or so guesthouses, one more beautiful than the other, full every weekend. Around half a million tourists spend a night in Little Paris during the year. A decade ago, there were barely more than 50,000 per year and there were no foreign feet, while the guesthouses were counted on the fingers and barely holding their own," declared the prime minister.
