Eight civil emergency agencies from the region and the EU are conducting a joint exercise in Shkodra, the first of its kind in our country, funded by the EU. Response and coordination in cases of floods, fires and earthquakes are among the main exercises where the participating forces are being trained.
The Albanian Civil Protection Agency, in cooperation with 7 counterpart agencies from the region and the EU, have launched a joint exercise in Shkodra, lasting several days, the largest ever held in our country, which aims to test the capacities and coordination in the response of civil emergency structures in cases of complex floods.
Shkodra is one of the most endangered cities not only in our country but also beyond when it comes to the risk of floods, which have occurred several times.
Deputy Minister of Defense Enkelejd Joti and the Director of the Civil Protection Agency, Haki Çako, have appreciated this organization and the benefits of civil protection structures.
In this joint exercise, in addition to flood cases, exercises will also be held regarding interventions and coordination in cases of fires or earthquakes. (A2 Televizion)
