A German citizen was taken to the Vlora hospital for medical assistance, after receiving a report that she was ill and was sailing on the AIDA BLU cruise ship near the Karaburun peninsula. A2 CNN learns that the 61-year-old was provided with the necessary assistance, from transportation from the cruise ship to being accompanied by an ambulance to the regional hospital in the city of Vlora for the provision of the necessary first aid.
"Today in the early hours of the morning at around 01:00, a cruise ship named AIDA BLU, which was sailing near the Karaburun peninsula, announced that there was a sick person on board.
Immediately, the Maritime Inter-Operational Center, in cooperation and coordination with various maritime institutions in the Vlora Bay area such as the Coast Guard, the Vlora Port Authority and the Vlora Border Police, provided the necessary assistance from the transportation of the sick person from the cruise ship, who was a 61-year-old German citizen woman, to the ambulance escort to the regional hospital in the city of Vlora for the provision of the necessary first medical aid.
