Piles of garbage by the sea. These images of waste scattered along the coastline are an indication that clean beaches still remain a challenge for local institutions in Vlora. Local vacationers are raising concerns. They say that the problem remains the canals with polluted water and the lack of bins, writes A2 CNN.
"For fuck's sake. Why is it done like this, with canals in front. Look how it is, without wiping...", says a vacationer.
Others are concerned about the lack of beach guards, who seem to have not started work even though the season has started. "There should be a coast guard, because people have drowned," says another vacationer.
For some vacationers, prices are also a problem. They compare it to the countries where they live and work and say that in Albania they have to pay more for the same products. "The prices are outrageous. They are much more expensive than abroad," says one vacationer.
Albania is aiming for a high number of tourists this year, but despite the start of the season, it seems that institutions still have many tasks to fulfill to make visitors feel good. (A2 Televizion)
