Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted sharply after the Special Court's decision to not allow former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi to participate in his father's funeral ceremony, which will take place tomorrow at 3:00 PM in Burojë, Skenderaj.
Through a post on the 'X' platform, Rama describes the Special Court as a shameful court that is denying even the most democratic rights of the accused.
"A despicable act by a shameless and shameless court that has turned international justice into a joke, democratic rights into empty words, and the goodwill of the Kosovo Assembly into the most brutal boomerangs!" says Rama.
The Organization of Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans (OVL-UCK) also expressed indignation and revolt against this decision through a post on Facebook.
OVL-UCK describes this decision against Thaçi as unjust and inhumane, which contradicts the universal values of humanity and justice.
"This decision is not only a flagrant violation of fundamental human rights, but also an act that violates dignity and the deepest human feelings. The Organization of Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans will not tolerate the silence of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo towards the violations and contemptuous treatment being meted out to our comrades by the Special Court in The Hague," the KLA OVL reaction states.
The March 13 meeting at the UCCK premises in Pristina, where they spent three hours in each other's presence, will be the last for Hashim Thaçi, with his late father, Haxhi Thaçi.
A new low from a shameful and shameless tribunal that has turned international justice into a charade, democratic rights into empty words, and the goodwill of the Kosovo Parliament into the most brutal of boomerangs! pic.twitter.com/yfzQt2Vw9t (A2 Televizion)
