The traders of the Zdrale market have protested in front of the city council, as they oppose the project of the Shkodra Mufti's office, which owns the land where the market is located and where it has decided to make an investment.
According to the traders, they have been working in that market for years, considering it the only opportunity they have to provide income for their families, writes A2 CNN.
A representation of the merchants was also received by the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, who promised to help find a solution for the merchants to continue their activity, but without specifying whether another location will be found or negotiations will be held to continue in the same location.
Just a few days ago, the Mufti of Shkodra had a reaction regarding this issue, where he clarified the position of the Mufti's office.
The end of August is the deadline when merchants must vacate the Zdrale market to the Shkodra Mufti's Office, which has a project for the development of that property, approved by the National Territorial Council. (A2 Televizion)
