The body of Archbishop Anasatas Janullatos arrived in Albania today.
The departure of the archdiocese took place yesterday at around 10:00 from the Athens Cathedral, while it entered Albanian territory through the Kakavija border crossing point at around 08:00.
The body is expected to arrive in Tirana today at around 4:00 PM, where two days of tributes will be held, A2 writes. Along the way, there will be stops in the areas he served and worked for the reconstruction of the Albanian Autocephalous Church.
The funeral ceremony will take place on Thursday at 11:00 am.
Greek media reports that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be in Tirana on Thursday to attend the funeral for the late Archbishop.
