The first plane has landed at Vlora airport.

Also present were Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
The head of government, in his speech, said: "Many congratulations and good luck to all the new employees of Vlora airport. I also thank the group that came from Kosovo. I express my confidence that this double-headed eagle that was created with the two groups will raise the name of this airport very high. I also thank those who believed and worked on this project, which was extremely challenging."
Further, the Prime Minister announced that the new airline "Air Kosova" will soon start flights to Kukes.
"For those who say that this is a "fake" flight that is done for propaganda and then the airport will remain like Kukes. That airport has had its own challenge in securing operators, there are problems with the landing corridor, it is not a simple airport. An "icebreaker" that will prove that that airport is worth it has not been found in time. We will soon have a new Albanian company that will start flights at Kukes airport. "Air Kosova" will be this company, with two aircraft of our common pride", declared Rama.
