For doctor Dasho, it is about a known virus that has been circulating for more than 20 years, the route of transmission, the degree of complications, but also the method of prevention are known.

According to him, what makes this situation worrying is once again the lack of transparency from the Chinese authorities, just like with Covid-19.

"He is not young. This virus was first identified in 2000 and is believed to have been circulating for many years. It is a seasonal virus. It is a group of viruses responsible for infections in autumn and winter.

This virus causes infections in babies, but also in the elderly and those with weak immunity. It is a known virus, the routes of transmission, the degree of complications and the methods of prevention are known.

We are concerned that it comes from China. Unlike European countries where there is transparency, the Chinese authorities are not transparent. A few days ago WHO asked China to share data on Covid. The fact that in China a situation is out of the ordinary is worrying. 5 years ago we had a new pathogen, with a higher rate of transmission and which made Covid more dangerous", said Dasho.
