Ten days after the European Political Community summit, which brought 40 leaders from the EU and beyond to Tirana, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Through a post on the 'X' platform, Zelensky announced that he had "a good conversation with the Prime Minister of Albania."
He explains that he informed Rama about the latest developments on the war front, the ongoing Russian attacks, and they discussed together the steps that need to be taken to achieve a ceasefire and peace.
" I informed him about the recent Russian missile and drone attacks. These attacks show once again that Russia has no intention of ending the war. That is why we need strong enough pressure to finally stop it. We count on all the necessary steps in this direction to be taken in the near future. We also discussed our cooperation with European partners and our unity ," Zelensky wrote.
The Ukrainian President also informs that the Albanian Prime Minister will participate in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit.
"I invited the Prime Minister to participate in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit, and Albania will be represented. Thank you, Albania, for supporting Ukraine and our people," Zelensky further wrote. (A2 Televizion)
