Elenita Roshi has been elected the new head of the National Historical Museum, A2 CNN reports.
The news was announced by the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, through a post on social networks, where he writes that Roshi brings over 20 years of experience in the management of cultural heritage, heritage tourism, and economic-social development.
He also writes that 'its aim to make our heritage attractive and educational, both for Albanians and for internationals, will serve the important process of rebuilding the National Historical Museum, and turning it into a space for education, inspiration and dialogue'.

Elenita Roshi will direct the National Historical Museum. She brings over 20 years of experience in cultural heritage management, heritage tourism, and economic-social development. Elenita has worked extensively with international organizations, in projects that focus on the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, especially in Butrint and Gjirokastër. Her academic background, including a PhD in cultural heritage marketing and a Humphrey/Fulbright Fellowship at Cornell University in the United States of America, complements her practical experience.
As an external lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Elenita also contributes to building future expertise in the management of cultural and historical heritage. Her passion to make our heritage attractive and educational, both for Albanians and for internationals, will serve the important process of rebuilding the National Historical Museum, and turning it into a space for education, inspiration and dialogue.
