Astrit Hado, general director of the Institute of Social Security (ISSH), said in the "A2 Business" studio with Aurora Sulçen, on A2 CNN, that pensions cannot be increased if social contributions have not been continuously paid.
"The pension scheme has been associated with a deficit since it was created. It should be noted that the deficit of the scheme has decreased significantly and we claim that this year it will decrease even more. This is about increasing employment, increasing wages and fighting informality. If people have not consistently paid contributions, there will be problems with the scheme", said Astrit Hado, general director of ISSH.
When asked if a person who has a pension of 17,000 ALL will never have that pension increased, since he has paid so many contributions over the years, Hado answered: "Of course".
He added that "individuals who have paid contributions for 35 years and more, have a pension of ALL 30,000".
