To benefit from VAT exemption on the import of machinery and equipment, agro-processing entities must apply through e-Albania.
The government portal e-Albania shared on social networks the steps to follow when applying for the service "Machinery and equipment in function of the implementation of investment contracts in the agribusiness sector, regardless of the value of the investment", writes A2 CNN.

If the application meets the conditions, authorization can be granted to the system.
The authorization "Machinery and equipment in function of the implementation of investment contracts in the agribusiness sector, regardless of the value of the investment" is an authorization granted to the economic operator operating in the field of agribusiness. Through this authorization, the operator benefits from the exemption from the payment of VAT at the time of import.
