After the completion of the Population and Housing Census in 2023, the Institute of Statistics is preparing for the Agricultural Census. The draft law has been issued for public consultation, while the aim is for this census to cover all economic units that use agricultural land or that carry out agricultural and livestock activities within the territory of the Republic of Albania.
Financially, this process is expected to cost around 891 million lekë. Over half of this amount, or 475 million lekë, will be used to pay human resources, which include surveyors, controllers, IT specialists and support staff in the areas of finance, law and logistics.
Expenditures for travel and field monitoring are planned at 17 million lek.
This Agricultural Census is one of the most important statistical processes in the country, which will provide accurate and updated data on the agricultural and livestock sector, helping to design development policies and better manage rural resources in Albania. (A2 Televizion)
