The Bank of Albania keeps the basic interest rate for the lek unchanged at 2.75%, writes A2 CNN.
The news was made known by the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, through a statement to the media, where he spoke about the monetary policy decision-making for the month of December 2024.
According to Sejko, the economy is in a positive environment, inflation has decreased while employment has increased.
Based on these results, according to Sejko, the Bank of Albania decided not to change the basic interest rate of 2.75%.
At the conference, Governor Gent Sejko stated that they have increased purchases of euros in the market to stabilize the exchange rate, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
