Data shows that last year, the value of AI turnover worldwide reached over $200 billion, and is expected to exceed $1 trillion by 2030. According to data, 80% of companies in the world currently use Artificial Intelligence in their work.
These are companies with thousands of employees, offering services and products almost all over the globe, with extraordinary social, economic and financial impact.
Among the most important and largest are Google; Amazon; Microsoft; Tesla; Apple; Facebook (Meta) etc. These companies use Artificial Intelligence for a number of functions that include: improving the customer experience, automating internal processes, developing autonomous technologies, advancing big data analytics etc.
With such importance for the functioning of globally important companies, Artificial Intelligence will significantly affect the growth of the world economy.
Global GDP will be 14% higher in 2030 as a result of AI, or $15.7 trillion. The gains will be felt most in China and North America, regions that represent nearly 70% of the global economic impact of AI.

The survey conducted by the Balkan Barometer shows that 3% of businesses surveyed in our country have claimed to have replaced employees with Artificial Intelligence. Also, 3% of businesses in Kosovo and Montenegro have done the same.
But is there a cost to adopting artificial intelligence in business activity? Are financial possibilities one of the reasons why this technology is currently so little used by businesses in Albania?

Since the pace of development of its technologies, it is not known how far they can reach. Use it or fear it? Feelings are different and above all personal. But, the undeniable fact is that AI is part of our lives now and tomorrow it will be even more so.
